Do you have a messy craft space? You know that feeling of not wanting to go into your craft room? Avoiding at all costs? I think we all do. It is the crafters version of writers block.

I know I feel this way sometimes, and I also know that once I actually get myself in there I am happy. But what if your craft space is cluttered and that is what you avoiding? You worked so hard on that last project that when it was finished you just said “done” and left your room. Pretty sure we have all done that too!
When I have no more excuses of other things I need to do, and I walk into that room it can be overwhelming for sure. Such a mess. So many of my supplies just thrown about so that I cannot even see my desk.
Here is what I do. First off music is must! I bring my bluetooth speaker into my space and turn it up!! Music gives me energy. Keeps me motivated. I have a playlist of up beat songs that keep me motivated
Second is pick one small section. Tidy up that area, putting stuff away and finding some resemblance of organization. Once that section is done, maybe you might need more coffee, water or soda? Go grab that. Make sure to not allow yourself to get side tracked. Come on I know I am not the only one that gets easily side tracked!!
Then it is right back into the room and pick another section. I do these steps over and over until the job is complete. It never takes as long as I thought it would in my head, and while I am putting things away I am thinking of what my next project will be.
More times than not, once you get your room clean you will be am inspired to start your next project.
I have even shared some photos for you to see how messy my rooms gets. Yes, these are actual photos of my mess!!!

My husband built me this space when I no longer could work in the closet. Yes I had a 6 ft table in the guest room closet I used to work on. My desk is L shaped now. We bought most of the supplies from Amazon, including the rug! I wanted it to be bright and cheerful in this room.
I painted the walls a bright bright white and used pink and grey as my accent colors. I repurposed some pink sheer curtains that had been in my daughters room to help brighten up the space. I still need to figure out what to put on my walls though!
What do you do to keep motivated and keep your space organized? Do you have some sort of special trick or tip you could share with us? Not everyone has a designated space they can leave their supplies out, so if that is you, what are your tips?
Share pics of your messy space!! There is no judgement here. Tells us what you do to combat your messy space and get it clean again without feeling overwhelmed.
